Avoid asking for Phone number during credit card checkout

hi,

I'm wondering if it's possible do not asking for user phone number during the credit card payment checkout. 

some users don't like to share their phone number so ...

I searched on the API actions.order.create  application_context   parameters but I haven't found anything to force not asking the phone number.
