This is in regards to my Paypal Debit Card...I had a text about a charge from a parking meter, come through very early this morning. It made no sense, as I haven’t used a parking meter in 5 days. I don’t usually have to, but for work this week, I DID have to use a parking meter multiple times, one day. I am now worried that one of them had some kind of card reader attached to it, and that my card number has been stolen. Is this crazy? Has anyone else had a random incorrect charge come through on their card, and had it turn out to be a precursor to a larger fraud/theft, later? I don’t want to wait to have my account wiped out, so I have cancelled the card and have ordered a new one. But I would appreciate anyone else’s info, so I know for the future (if I overreacted or), if this is a sign of card number theft. Thanks so much!
