Unable to access PayPal App on Android Phone

I have a GalaxyS10+ and have been having issues logging in on the app. I Am able to enter my username and password just fine. It comes up with the prompt to send a code to my mobile phone. I receive the code via text but once I enter it, the screen goes white. There is an "X" on the top left. If I tap that it goes back to the login screen with Username and password to start the cycle over again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it does the same thing. It can't be this difficult, what am I missing?
