Prepaid Mastercard, how do I supplement the 5.00 left on it with my paypal balance?

Only have 5.00 left on this card (thanks unannounced 4.95 "plan fee").  Every time I try to use it to pay for something the app tells me to pick another form of payment because obviously i don't have enough on the gift card.  Do I really need to transfer from my balance and wait 2-3 days to use the measly 5 bucks?  Its hardly even worth it.

you must be referring to the Paypal MC prepaid debit card which has a 4.95 per month fee,it has its own website and customer service.
