Loading Cash to Your Account Through the App - Error

I recently had to cancel my debit card due to an unauthorized charge and am waiting on my new one in the mail. Should this have any effect on my ability to add money to my account? I just went to CVS to add money through the app, where they scan a barcode the app generates. They tried two different barcodes and each time the register would automatically refund my money and print a receipt that says "ERROR ACT" on it. I've never had this happen before and neither had the cashier. Is this just a random error on the stores end? Has anyone had this problem?
