Hi noticed the new inactivity fee paypals introducing in dec "how nice of them lol" and it reaks of something not dodgy so i was wondering if it really is legal to charge someone for being inactive on wat is essentially a free service

Just log in from time to time. Use it or lose/close it. Perhaps PayPal want to clamp down on abandoned accounts. Then it'll be a hassle for users who want to use their account years later trying to get access/forgetting their login info. That has happened here. I wonder if "inactivity" means not logging in/keeping info updated or no money following through to the account at all.
