Fraud? Why can’t I get a straight answer fromPayPal?

Received a text message today stating: “ PayPal Fraud Alert: Are you trying to pay $492.00 USD? If yes, reply 1. If no, reply 2. Msg & Data rates apply.”. Looks legit because I’ve had other PayPal messages sent to the same number - but guess what - logged into PayPal and there’s nothing....called PayPal and there’s no one to talk to-going online I need to wait “several hours” to talk with an agent- that would be about 1130pm???. I’m Not sure which is more concerning- questions I have regarding PayPal security or the lack prioritization of fraud concerns such as this. Even in a the pandemic I haven’t heard of companies taking hours to respond to Typical concerns much less fraud related.
