Cant create paypal.me link

Hello, I am having issues creating my paypal.me link. I keep getting the "were having issues setting up your profile right now" message. I live in the u.s. and have been trying to get this set up for three days. Thanks for the help!

Others posting with the same issue, must be a paypal techie glitch at the moment with it.
