Autopay error - Charged twice!! Paypal Cashback Mastercard thru Synchrony.

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone else was caught up in the Aug 2 incident wherein Paypal Cashback Mastercard holders (through Synchrony) with Autopay set up were charged their statement balance TWICE? Thanks to them, my checking account went into the red.

 

I was told that everyone on Autopay on the 2nd had their balance paid twice thanks to a "technical glitch," which I find horrifying. Their follow-up was abysmal also. I'm wondering if anyone else can share their experience. Did you cancel autopay?
