We are a company with employees in Canada, the US and India. We have set up a Money Pool account to collect donations from staff members in Canada and the US to go towards helping the young family of an employee in India who passed away. All money raised would be sent to the late employee's widow in India.
Questions:
1. Will the Money Pool option work for this type of fundraising campaign? (whereby CDN and US staff can contribute, after which the Money Pool manager will send the money raised directly to the individual in India in Indian rupees)
2. We have read that PayPal has stopped allowing global personal payments to be sent to and from India. Does that essentially render the above question a moot point? Other words, can we use PayPal now as a platform to send money from Canada and the US to a person in India?
