pre authorised pay in 3 payment

How long does a pre authorised pay in 3 payment take to cancel when you don’t go through with the sale I agreed to pay PayPal etc then when it wanted to finalise the sale with shipping added I declined as shipping was too high

It’ll take a few days for the preauthorization to expire and drop off.
