paypal credit won't let me add a bank account

haven't a lot of trouble trying to set up a direct debt for my paypal credit in order to start paying off a purchase?
won't even let me synch my bank either? I've tried it on my phone and on desktop, it's really frustrating.. keeps saying it isn't able to do it.. which is weird because I've got paypal linked to my bank account.. it just won't let me synch the credit part.

can somebody please help me here, I'm starting to worry a bit.

If you already have a bank account linked to your PayPal account, you can use that to set up a direct debit to pay your PayPal Credit balance.
