paypal credit not displayed as an option to send money- despite of having it listed as preferred form of payment @Send  #paypalcredit #transfers

Sorry to hear that you're not able to send money using PayPal Credit. Currently, your PayPal Credit limit cannot be used to send money to friends and family. You can use PayPal Credit at thousands of stores online where PayPal is accepted. PayPal Credit may not be available for some merchants depending on the circumstances of the purchase. You can find the tips and the possible reasons for not able to pay with PayPal Credit here. If the issue persists, you can try to complete the payment using a different payment method.

Hi, I just want to share that I found the most likely answer to your question after talking to multiple reps. I was having the same problem since I haven't used PayPal credit for a long time and wanted to use it so my account didn't close due to inactivity. Anyways... after talking to multiple people and searching online I finally received an answer from a knowledgeable rep. I'm sharing this because it took me a long time to fix the problem and I hope it fixes yours. 

I had to call multiple people at PayPal and Synchrony until someone finally figured out the reason why I couldn't use PayPal credit at checkout was because I had a "limitation" on my account. Apparently they put "limitations" on accounts when they suspect someone was trying to log in to your account. They did this without my knowledge and I was only notified until I talked to the 3rd rep. Don't talk to Synchrony customer service (PayPal credit), this is a PayPal issue. Although a person from Synchrony was the one who told me about the limitation on my PayPal account.... 

So to answer your question, you have a couple options:

 

1. (Recommended) Message PayPal through the help center either on your mobile or computer. If on the mobile app, click "Help center" in the bottom of the menu page. Then scroll all the way down and click "Contact PayPal Support." Then scroll all the way down and click "Message Us." Once you send a message you have to wait for a reply. My rep replied pretty quickly - about an hour. You should tell them your PayPal credit isn't working because you might have a "limitation" on your account. Tell them you need to get that removed. That might or might not be the issue but if the rep doesn't know what "limitations" are, then you need a new rep who knows.

2. Go to the help center and click "Disputes and Limitations" and follow the steps in there. You might be able to solve it through there if it works for you. It didn't work or me so I messaged PayPal customer service instead. 

 

Hopefully this fixes your issue. I think it might be a couple days for PayPal credit to work again after they remove any limitations if you had any. LC
