Why does my credit report list a PayPal card for $2,200, but I was denied?

I applied for a Paypal Credit Card about a year or so ago and was denied. I applied a second time 6 months ago and was denied again. I have Good Credit. 720 something. My spouse has a card and their credit is about 680. So, the extra credit on my account is being reported monthly. It says $0 balance. So it cannot be fraud. And the extra credit is helping me. But it would also be nice to use it! What is it about?

Hello @oldmemes,
Welcome back to the PayPal Community!
I'm sorry to hear that your PayPal Credit Card application wasn't approved, but you see an open card on your credit report. I recommend reaching out to Synchrony Bank, which services the PayPal-branded Credit Cards. You can locate their contact information on this Help Center article.
I hope you're able to get to the bottom of this!

They told me they cannot answer any inquires for Paypal. So no, that is not good advice. Why would you suggest that?
