Two brand new Zettle 2 Readers report "Reader Damaged" -- what's up? Can these be reset?

I asked two questions, neither of which you answered @PayPal_paula :

What's up with all the damaged readers?  I have now received THREE.

Can a damaged reader be reset?

If anyone can answer one or both questions it would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I’m having the same issue, I’ve searched how to reset but nothing on YouTube or the internet is showing how, it is to be some issues with the design, I have a back up old izettle but the number 2 seems to have this recurring problem

I have the same issue, used once perfectly fine, today I get this “Reader Damaged” message on screen, lost sales because of it now it’s the weekend can’t get hold of Zettle 😏

Same here. Set it up, paired it, tested it. Now it's got the "Reader Damaged" message. Glad I brought my Square reader along with me to today's festival. From what I've read, the Zettle Reader 2 is junk. Haven't been able to find information on how to return it for a new one, or if that's even an option. Looks like I've got a new plastic doorstop. Sticking with Square and telling people not to bother with Zettle!

I understand your Zettle Card Reader has a "Reader Damaged" message, and I'm sorry to hear that. We have a few troubleshooting steps on our Help Center, but for this specific error message, please reach out to Customer Support by selecting 'Contact' at the bottom of our website.
