There does not seem to be a facility for viewing a simple monthly statement of credits and debits of your account be it straight forward purchasing or the new credit facility. Please ignore, silly me I think I've found the answer.
It happens. Hit the "Login to Ask the community" button to create a question for the PayPal community.
