Pending payment PayPal pay in 3

I paid for a T-shirt off eBay with PayPal pay in 3 and the first payment was taken from my bank account, however the order hasn’t went through on eBay and the transaction still says pending on my PayPal account

When you pay a company then it is often pending or awaiting authorisation until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.

If they don't process the order and capture that payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment and returns back to your funding source. If the seller/Ebay void the payment  because it won't be captured then you may get the funds back earlier.
