Paypal credit issue.

Basically I am having an issue where I am paying in money to my credit account and items that have promotional rates are not being paid off first. I have paid in a lot and they are allocating the funds to clear my instalment plan which I would rather not pay off as I am happy to pay the £17 a month I have already agreed on the purchase.

I am about to have a purchase with a promotional 0% expire next month and all this money I have paid in hasn't cleared this balance. I will now start to accrue 23.9% interest and won't be able to clear that money for at least another month. I have been in contact with PayPal support but they are not seeming to understand my dilemma and just keep sending me the same copy paste message. I can't see how they can tell you they're trying to save you money by paying off purchases that doesn't need paying off yet.

Is there any way to tell them to allocate the money I paid in to my purchases with 0% interest first as i'd rather not pay 23.9% when there is no reason to. I can understand them doing this as they can tell you they're saving money but by delaying the payment of the promotional balances until you accrue interest so they can make some money which is pointless even offering you the 0% rate.
