Paypal business app keeps closing when authenticating

My PayPal for business app keeps closing when I click for authentication code. This happens every single time. I have tried uninstalling, clearing the cache, reinstalling and rebooting my phone. Nothing works. I am getting so frustrated. Surely with the funds available this shouldn't be happening in this day and age with the skilled techs out there?
