I opened my account 12/18/22. On 1/11/23, I received a letter stating I owed $1.98 in interest. This is not legal, is it? How can I owe interest when one payment period hasn't even passed?

Hello @OkBuddy99,
Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear you've run into some issues with your PayPal Credit charging you unexpected interest. I would recommend reaching out to PayPal Credit's Customer Support so they can review the account with you to find any potential errors.
I hope they're able to get to the bottom of this for you,
- Jon K
