PayPal’s Special Financing Service is not crediting balance for returns

PayPal’s Special Financing Service is not crediting balance for returns. I made several purchases from different merchants for an event. 90% of the merchandise was returned. Under transactions it shows that the refund was “applied”, but under the special financing service for the purchase, the amount was still there. In full. My balance is not going down as much as it should with all my refunds. I have called the credit service and got the runaround. Finally was able to get thru to the credit card company that is linked to my PayPal account for the SFS. That was another trip around the world in circles. When I would finally get close to a resolution- the call mysteriously dropped. No one will answer my question. “Why are my refunds not being applied to the SFS purchase, and why are the SFS refunds not decreasing my overall balance?” Has anyone else encountered this? How do I get this resolved? The closest I “think” I may have gotten was for my next month’s bill. HOPEFULLY. I saw that my next payment to pay off without interest was crazy high. When I looked at What SFS that expired that month, none of them had had the returns applied. NONE!!! As the statement reads, I am going to have to pay for purchases that I returned. Unfortunately, this goes on for several months out that I’m going to have to tediously sort out. When I was finally on with an agent that did not hang up on me, I went thru every transaction. I gave her the date of purchase, the date of the refund, and the amounts. She worked thru this with me and with each transaction she said “ah I see. This balance was refunded and not “allocated” correctly.” Does the overall balance include the SFS amount owed in addition to the transactions? When I did the math, I purchased a product, returned the product, the refund shows in the transaction but I still “owe” money to the SFS. What are they doing?
