PayPal pay in 4 charged my account 3 times after I refunded the item

Recently I used the PayPal pay in 4 feature to buy an item that was 536 dollars. Payments were set up and it was 134.43 every two weeks. Everything was fine until i realized that the item that I ordered was the wrong one and I wanted to get the correct one. So I went to refund it and I got receipts from both the store and PayPal showing that I had a refund in progress. I check my bank statements and it shows that 2 payments were taken out and both being 134.43. I understood that refunds take time so I wasn’t worried and figured it would take some time after reading their terms. The next morning I tried to make a different purchase this time from somewhere else. Same item and I got declined but my account got charged at third time for again 134.43. PayPal assistance won’t help and I just want to know if this money will be returned to my account since I never got the item that I was going to get and even got a receipt showing I never got the item.

I am sorry to know about the issue with your purchase and I understand your concern about the money getting debited for the returned item. If you paid the full amount, you will see the full refund in your PayPal account. I recommend you to review the Pay in 4 plan repayment and refund details in your PayPal account.
