PayPal Cashback Mastercard connection to Quickbooks

Hi, I'd like to connect my cashback mastercard to quickbooks but it doesn't work. Apparently Paypal Cashack Mastercard Synchrony Banks needs to allow external access to transactions. Do you how it is possible to solve this issue?

I'm having this same problem!  I can't believe PayPal would even offer a business card that couldn't link up to basic accounting software.  I'm about to cancel this card!!

Hi, I guess I’m going to have to find another credit card company that is willing to work with basic accounting softwares like most of them do.

Does anyone know if there is a way to reach out to someone at PayPal so that they can make it happen?

Hi @Romton and everyone,

Thank you very much for your post. I'm sorry for the frustration that you've experienced with reporting. To find contact information for Synchrony, please take a look at this Help Center article.

I hope this is helpful!

I have been using Quickbooks Self Employed for several years now and again, and again, and again, I encounter issues with the connection between my PayPal Mastercard and QBSE. In the middle of going over 2023 taxes, I ended up adding ALL Mastercard receipts manually, because I just can't connect it. I talked a while ago with a Synchrony customer service agent, and she was dismissive of the situation and put the responsibility of fixing stuff in QBSE's hands.

And now I have a new issue - Quickbooks is no longer offering the Assistant option (at least to my type of account) so I only can chat with someone, or call someone, M-F and during business hours, and most time I am working my bookkeeping after hours... I am not even sure if I will try to contact PayPal again. Maybe I will end up using the MasterCard only for anything that is not business-related and doesn't matter much, and keeping to small purchases. The hassle is not worth it.
