Pay in 4 mistake

Hello, I recently bought an item online and selected the PayPal button at the bottom of the page to initiate pay in 4, resulting in the first payment to start pending authorisation in my paypal/bank account. This was before the payment section had unlocked on the page, and in my haste I didn't select pay in 4, but rather simply paypal, causing me to pay the full amount alongside the pending payment for pay in 4. This was admittedly dumb, and I am worried what is going to happen to this pending transaction for pay in 4, as I obviously don't want to double pay so I'm in a bit of a panic over this unfortunately. Thanks in advance for the help/advice.

Hello @Wod288

Welcome! Thank you for visiting PayPal's Community Forum. I'm sorry to hear you've run into some hiccups with a recent transaction. Normally, if you do not complete your Pay in 4 transaction, the pending authorization will be automatically voided by PayPal within 72 hours of the pre-authorization hold.

I hope that clears up any confusion. Best wishes on your future transactions with PayPal!
