Pay in 4- Approved by not working

I’ve now tried twice to use the Pay in 4 option with two different merchants. I always get approved, but never get redirected back to the merchant page and PayPal just says authorization in progress. I always use a debit card from my checking account and the amount are not large at all. I’ve used Pay in 4 at least 3 other times with the same payment method and had no issue then. Is this an issue with PayPal or those specific merchants?
