Pay in 3 accepted as usual, but funds declined.

Hello PayPal People, Have used PayPal in 3 loads of times. Set one up to pre-order an LP in August. Mail order company said PayPal declined when they tried to take the money. Therefore I logged in again, initially not seeing any Pay in 3 linked to the August plan. I set up a new Pay in 3 and was accepted, but still the mail order company are declined payment. I then noticed I obviously have 2 x Pay in 3s for the same amount to the same company and they are both 'Pending' I have one last payment of a previous Pay in 3 to the same company to go. Other single PayPal payments are fine. So...Are we only allowed to have one Pay in 3 active with the same company or is there something else wrong? I could pay in one and cancel the others if that's possible. Thank you for any advice and sorry it's not more concise. GrayL

Hello Bindu, Thank you for the reply. This issue has been solved and to explain as it might help others, the Pay in 3 that I set up in August was only valid for 30 days and the merchant had not tried to take the first payment as the item had not been released by then. Therefore the second agreed Pay in 3 arranged for the same item and price last week, should have taken the August one's place, however the merchant was still trying and failing to take payment from that expired Autumn one. A call to the company and the first payment had now been taken. No apology from them of course, but all sorted. GrayL

I see you've used Pay in 3 plan for your August purchase and concerned about the declined payment. Pay in 3 is not available for all merchants and services. If you did the check out successfully using Pay in 3 plan, you will see the plan in your PayPal account and also you will get the confirmation email from PayPal with the details of the repayment. I recommend you to contact PayPal Support team to get this checked further.
