Pay Later declIned without explanation

I am curious as to why the pay later option would have been declined during a recent purchase. No explanation was provided and I have never had an issue with paying via Paypal

Sorry for any concern this caused. 

Usually, if a Pay in 4 application is denied, an email is sent with details.
