My Paypal credit refund hasn't wiped my outstanding transactions????

i recieved a refund into my payapl credit for a transaction i had already paid off. it shows in my account and my balance. But i had a few transactions still otstanding in my account that this refund would have paid off, but my transactions still show as that i owe them. should the refund have paid of those transactions up to the amount of the refund. Its just that i dont want to pay interest on a transaction that has technically been paid.
