Increase PayPal Pay in 4 limit?

I've been using Paypay Pay in 4 for the past 2 years. I've never missed or defaulted on a payment. As of recently though I've been using it for bigger purchases and I notice when the balance outstanding is more than $3750 it doesn't approve my pay in 4 applications as follows:

We regret that we are unable to approve your request at this time for the following reason:

• Total balance on your outstanding Pay in 4 loans or the Pay in 4 loan amount you requested is too high.

Thank you for your interest in PayPal Pay in 4

I know this is all automated but is there any way to have this limit increased?

I understand your concern about PayPal pay in 4. Pay in 4 will appear as a payment method for eligible shopping cart value up to $1,500 only when you check out with PayPal. However, you may look into another option which is Pay Monthly, it will be eligible on shopping cart valuing up to $10,000 USD on qualifying merchant, transactions, please take a look at this Help Center Article to know more information.

Hi, i've been using pay in 4 for a few minor purchases and today i had an accident and broke my phone, i went to buy one from ebay using pay in 4 and the purchase was rejected due to; Total balance on your outstanding Pay in 4 loans or the Pay in 4 loan amount you requested is too high. The purchase was $445, So the real limit to this privilege is not the $1,500 it says. How can i increase this limit?

I’ve learnt that it’s not about the value of the phone but the total of your other active pay in 4 loans. If the outstanding balance is more than X , you won’t get approved. My limit seems to be something around 3000/3250

Thanks for the info and your time, i just found out that as i pay all the remaining balances i had to try and see if that fix the issue and it did, after i paid the balances i was able to buy the phone. Thanks!
