How do refunds work in 4th in 4?

I'm returning what I bought with 4th in 4. How does the refund work; does PayPal pay off all the remaining plan dollars, or does the refund go directly to me, and the payments keep happening as normal?

Perhaps I should do the refund and see if PayPal eat it!
