Donate Button PayPal

I am trying to set up a PayPal account for my Youtube channel to recieve donations. I noticed a function within PayPal called the 'Donate button'. Is this the best option to link my social media account to get donations? Or is setting up a standard PayPal account to link my social account the better option? Hope this makes sense.
