Charged 3 times for initial payment on same day

Hello, I purchased something with the pay in 4 instalments option. The transaction initially had trouble going through, said my password was not working for PayPal, finally it worked on the third try after cos going my password and the transaction was finalised. Apon checking my bank statement it seems I was charged for the three “tries” not just tge transaction that went through. The 2 extra payments are currently “pending” but the amount has been withdrawn. How can I get this fixed?

Check with the merchant that they only authorise x1 of the payments / orders.

Then if they don't capture the other pending payments they should time out at 30 days.

Sometimes the merchant can void the surplus pending payments for you and you get it quicker than 30 days.
