is there a way to see what max amount of pay in 4 paypal credit i can recieve? want to make a large purchase??

Welcome to the PayPal Community!

Unfortunately, there is not a way to view the maximum amount that would be allowed for a Pay in 4 plan. You would need to apply for the Pay in 4 plan in order to see if you would be able to use it on a larger purchase.
