Why Can't I use my Paypal Mastercard for Paypal pay in 4?

Paypal cards are not eligible. Only bank accounts, credit/debit card you link to your PayPal.

After your down payment, your 3 subsequent repayments will be taken automatically from the confirmed debit card, credit card, or bank account you provided at the time of your application. Currently, your PayPal balance can't be used for repayments.

Don’t make sense to pay a PayPal loan product which is what Pay in 4 is with a PayPal product.

But its a credit card in and of itself through a separate bank. It's branded as a paypal card for the rewards. I understand what you mean, but it's just odd I can't use it as payment option.
