PayPal credit "Sorry, there was a technical error, please try again later"

I made a purchase over a week ago and I continue to get the error message "Sorry, there was a technical error. Please try again later." I have called PayPal Credit and Synchrony Bank and neither have any help on how to solve this issue. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and if they have figured out a fix for it. I have already tried different browsers, using the phone app, and clearing my cache and cookies. I'd appreciate any help.

I'm sorry to hear that you are encountering an error when trying to make a purchase. If you are experiencing difficulties when attempting to access your PayPal account, please try clearing your cache and cookies or try using a different internet browser to access your account. If you are attempting to log in through the mobile app, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to see if this helps to resolve the issue. If the error still occurs, you will need to contact us by phone. You can obtain the phone number for your region by clicking Help at the bottom of the PayPal website.
