Cash back using PayPal Key

If I buy something online at Home Depot with my Paypal Key, do I get cash back or do I have to do something extra?

Can I just make an online purchase or do I need to use the Paypal app, etc.?

Just set the card you want PayPal to charge when you use the PayPal Key.

I already figured out how to use the PayPal Key before I asked this question.
I am asking about getting cash back at participating websites. I don't think you addressed that at all. It's the first words in my post title.

And do I have to use the PayPal Key to get cash back or can I just use a pay with PayPal button on a participating website?

Got the answer (eventually) from PayPal support.

The cash back only works when using the PayPal Key MC at a participating site.
