Cannot Cancel Billed Invoice because "Cancel" Button not working

I have billed invoice on my account, but when I click the 'Cancel' button from the drop down menu, it does not cancel the invoice and just takes me to the payment screen, I have tried Firefox, Chrome and Edge with no results.

 

I followed these instructions.

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click Activity at the top of the page.
3. Click Details next to the invoice you want to review.
4. Click Cancel invoice and follow the instructions.
5. Once the invoice has been cancelled, an email notification will be shared with the recipient.

 

Here is the problem when you click the "Cancel" button the invoice does not get cancelled or removed from my account and just takes me to the payment screen. PayPal you have some major glitch in your system at the moment! The cancel button does not work and does not remove the invoice.

I understand that you were unable to cancel the invoice. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused due to this. This might be due to technical glitch, I will route to right team so that they can working on this accordingly. For now you can safely ignore this invoice if you're not buying anything from the seller.

I experienced the same problem trying to cancel an invoice. I have called Paypal 3 times now and been fobbed off. When I called today they said they have had no other cancel issues reported, therefore they didn't think it was an issue. Well, it is an issue and somebody needs to look into it. The problem has been going at least 2 weeks to my knowledge.
