Add cash to PayPal Balance without a PayPal Cash Card

I don’t have the PayPal Cash Card yet. Would I be able to get a barcode, go to a store and add physical cash to my account balance without it? Do I need the PayPal Cash Card for this service? Thanks in advance.

You can add cash at Walmart or other retailers via barcode with the PayPal app as long as PayPal have set up “balance account” on your PayPal account by verifying your identity in order to use PayPal balance functionality (hold and spend balances).
