will not accept debit card online

I am trying to link my debit card to PayPal and it keeps telling me that the card is already linked to another account

Thank you for raising your concern through our community forum.

Do you have, by any chance, an old email address that you may used with PayPal previously where this card you are referring to have been used or linked?

If so, we suggest you accessing the email or retrieve the password (incase you have forgotten) and remove the card from that account.

Otherwise, has this card been linked and removed multiple times on your current account with PayPal, it may be blocked from being linked once again for we have a maximum attempts to link a card on certain accounts for security reasons.

You may refer to the below steps in removing your card provided you're able to access the account where it is linked:
1. Click Wallet at the top of the page.
2. Click the card you want to remove.
3. Click Remove card.
