trouble sending/recieving money

Hi everyone, a friend from france ia trying to send me some money, I live in Canada. We both set up new accounts for this purpose but he always gets an error message saying that the transaction can't be done. We have both verified our emails and everything. Please help.

What currency is he sending?

How is he sending it ie which paypal option?

How is he funding it ie which funding source?

What other funding source is linked to his paypal account?

Are all the funding sources confirmed with the code sent to the bank or card statements?

thanls for replying, he is sending it with the send money to family or friend option, using his paypal balance as funding and sending euros as currency. As far as i know he has no bank account linked he just made a deposit to his paypal balance and my bank account is pending verification.

So have you added euros as a receiving currency on your CAD paypal account?

got around to adding euros as currency and he could finally send me the money. thanks a lot!
