temporary authorisation

So whilst buying a dress from asos for some reason the paypal authorisation came through twice and I thought nothing off it, then when I checked it it stated that there are two pavements being processed even though I only completed 1 order. Now one of the two pending payments has gone through however the other one is still sat there on pending and I have no idea how long it will be in this limbo nor how to get my money back and there's not an option to cancel that payment either

When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is often pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.

If they don't process the order as you only ordered x1 and don't capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.
