scam and how to find help

I received an email with the subject line Paypal Security and some number, and a pdf about a $61 game purchase in North Carolina.  I went to Paypal from another browser and looked up history, and there is nothing, which is correct. I'm assuming this is a scam and am frustrated that the Help Center has pre-decided choices and no way to contact someone to look into this to see if it is actual fraud. Any advice for how to contact Paypal for real, or has anyone received such scams? Thank you.

There was another post earlier today that is similar to what you're posting. You did the right thing by not clicking any links.

PayPal will always address you by your first and last names or your business name.

You have the option to make your PayPal account more secure by activating the security key option in your security settings. This will require a pin be sent to your phone every time you log into your account.

I'm going to put a link to the earlier post here. https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/About-Payments/PayPal-Security-message/m-p/1481877#M167084

Here is a PayPal link with more info on how to spot fake emails.

I appreciate your help, especially the details of how an actual Paypal email would look.
