I was supposed to receive a refund and got only 40% of the amount as the sender is claiming that it was taxed. Can you please help verify why my account is taxed or if this is true as I was supposed to get the full refund but only received 40% of it

Hi @reemn,

Any taxed charged would have been done at the discretion of the merchant and not by PayPal. What it sounds like they did was issue what we call a partial refund. If you did not receive your full order or what you received was not as described, I would encourage you to file a dispute on the transaction. That way, PayPal can step in to help make sure you are protected.
