I had someone buy an item off Depop, which I no longer wanted to sell so asoon as I noticed I clicked refund on Paypal, the money the person sent was never in my bank. But yet the refund has come out of my bank account rather than paypal. Does anyone know why this has happened and if it will correct itself?
Sellers can only refund from funds in their paypal balance OR bank account.
If the buyers funds are 'pending' in your paypal balance then you can't refund with that funding source, so it would come from your bank account and when the buyers payment clears it will be credited to your balance.
