refund pending after 7days

I was refunded through paypal over 7days ago and the money still has not come through and has been on pending for a long time. What has happened?

Pending refunds can only happen for two reasons.
1. The seller has issued a refund from their bank account which takes time to process.

2. You funded the payment to the seller using bank transfer. What PayPal do here is credit the recipient on your behalf (so there is no delay in despatching your item). Then if you receive a refund in the meantime they are unable to issue this until the original bank transfer completes.

this is awful. please can i shut this account down AND TRANSFER THE MONEY TO A CURRENT ACCOUNT

 Hello. It is said that these refunds or money sent can take up to 7 days hence pending but its over 7days and the money is still pending

Can be 5-7 working days = 7-9 calender days and don't forget we have just had bank hols.
