What kinds of checks can I cash with the Cash a Check service in the PayPal app?
"All checks must be made payable to you, endorsed by you, and drawn on a bank account in the United States or a U.S. territory."
I guess that is a "no". But its mentions third party checks where your son makes the check over to you (third party) on back of check.
"For a limited time, PayPal will be waiving the fee to cash Economic Impact Payments, tax refunds, and printed payroll checks, up to $5,000. The following types of checks are excluded from this offer:
- Personal or 3rd party checks
- Government checks from 3rd party tax filing providers (ex: H&R Block, Intuit)"
Well, the worst that can happen that PayPal won't approve it and you can cash it at a bank that allows this kind of endorsing, so don't write Void on it unless PayPal approves the check and instructs you to do so.
