help for a newbie

i am new to PayPal and only set it up because that is the only way a someone has to pay me some money they owe me. How do they make a payment to me? What do i have to tell them about my account?

The email address you use with Paypal identifies your Paypal account and is all someone needs to pay you or your mobile number if you are using the app.
Or you can send a money request/invoice from your Paypal account to their Paypal email address for them to pay.

Or use a paypal.me link if you have created one.

 

If they are just sending money that they owe and are not paying for goods or services then tell them to go to send/request > send money > put in your email address (make sure its linked and verified on your paypal account AND that they check there are no spelling errors) > select the FRIENDS /FAMILY OPTION >  put in the amount and select currency from the drop down box > check and pay. IF they fund it from their bank account and NOT a card then there should be no fees.
