funds possibly sent to a non existing paypal

Hey, I was paid through a program but my information on the payout page was slightly incorrect which I didn't realize and they told me the money was sent when I contacted them and found out my details were wrong, does anyone know what happens to that money? Is there a way to retrieve it or does it just get sent back to the company and I should contact them.

It depends on the mistake, was it an incorrect email address or phone number the funds were sent to?

If so then is it pending / unclaimed on the senders side OR sent / completed?

Email address the end is usually .com but it was .con and I didn't realise it's just odd that you can still send funds to a non existing PayPal, I just need to find out if the funds would be pending in a non existing account or back with the company

You still haven't answered my question as to what it says next to the transation in the SENDERS account, until you say then i can't help you.
