Until two days ago I had no problem paying for an ebay item using paypal. I select paypal at the checkout, login to paypal and then paypal sends a 6 digit authorisation code and then I complete the purchase. Now what happens is that after logging in to paypal it does not send the authorisation code, but returns to the check out and somehow pay by credit card is selected. I can complete the purchase, but it is not going through paypal. Looking at my credit card statement, it does show two items both from paypal, one showing the debited amount and the other is a zero amount pre-authorisation request. The payment is not shown on the paypal account though. Something clearly going wrong here.
Any one else had this problem?
