I sold a $428 (+ shipping) item on eBay Sept. 18. (Item#264306354697) PayPal refunded the money to the buyer on Sept. 27. I have had an account with PP for 15 years. Why did this happen? I want my money or my silver pitcher returned.

eBay says that since PP made the refund it is not thier problem.

We don't have any proof of the transaction therefore we didn't refund it.

I only shipped when eBay said payment was being processed. My only method of payment accepted was to PP.
